Weekend Workshop

4th - 5th March 2023

Draw inspiration from nature whilst learning a variety of fundamental drawing skills.

The focus of this workshop will mostly be on observing and drawing natural objects brought into the studio, with the occasional use of reference photographs. Participants will be introduced to a selection of useful drawing techniques and encouraged to experiment with a range of graphite pencils, combined with erasing and embossing to create interesting effects.

This is a wonderful opportunity to take the time to slow down and investigate the incredible diversity of forms, patterns and textures of the natural world. 

Sharon will impart many tips on how to draw your subject matter accurately, and you will gain insight into the way artists see and depict realism in their work. 

We will also explore ways to be creative in approaching your drawings with a series of fun, freeing up exercises incorporated into the weekend.
