5 day Workshop

Watercolour is a wonderfully seductive, yet complex medium. This foundation course will help you to understand how watercolour works, by introducing you to methods and materials to explore watercolour painting, using nature as our inspiration. Delight in learning a surprising range of new ways to manipulate watercolour, whilst building up a set of skills to master this medium, whether you are interested in realism or abstraction.

We will work through a series of fun yet structured exercises, which will allow for individual expression within each session. Working from natural forms in the studio and sometimes if the weather permits, outside, we will observe colours, patterns and textures found in the natural world and translate that into paintings.

Each participant will be attended to individually and encouraged to discover and develop their own unique artistic voice.
