Exhibition: Byron School of Art Project Space

For more than a decade, my art practice has been immersed in the botanicals of the Northern Rivers region, evolving from detailed observations of nature’s forms, to discovering the less tangible aspects of plant life.

In my Shape Shifters series, I am exploring the transformative and energetic presence of plants.

Plants are not static, they are in constant motion, shifting through cycles of growth, decay, and renewal, and I seek to capture this process of metamorphosis and the energy fields that extend and communicate beyond a plant’s physical structure.

In this way, plants become shape shifters, beings that move between states, from the invisible to the visible.
