This workshop offers an opportunity to gain confidence and clarity in your approach to mixing and combining colour in your artworks.

We will be working with the Double primary mixing system, which includes a cool and warm version of each of the primaries. You will get hands on experience of how this system works by mixing your own colour mixes, whilst creating valuable studio reference sheets for you to keep.

Your knowledge of colour will be further expanded by learning how to use the monochromatic and complementary colour schemes to great effect.

We will be painting with Gouache (opaque watercolour) to create our colour studies, yet the material covered in this workshop can be applied to any paint medium.

Once you have fully understood how to work with colour and integrate it into your artistic practice, mixing colour and developing harmonious colour schemes becomes effortless and can totally transform your painting experience.

This workshop is open to anyone interested in colour, including those with no previous experience.
